Point #1
Hola, beeches!... I'm not quite sure why I said that, but it seemed appropriate thirty seconds ago. As you can probably tell, this is my first post of 2014. Pretty sad and disappointing if I do say so myself. I have nothing and nobody to blame... though given a timely scapegoat, I would jump all over it like a drunk white girl on a Tiramisu.
I knew that there were only three things that could possibly bring me out of my self-imposed exile.
1. The greatest February stage race hosted by an absurdly rich and oppressive middle-eastern Sheikdom.
2. An American rider winning "anything" on the Pro Tour.
3. Any country that has the balls to use a two million dollar Bugatti Veyron as a Police car.
All three came together with a Taylor Phinney GC win in a cosmic occurrence rarer than witnessing Bigfoot having sex with a Unicorn. Yeah...that rare!
Well played, Dubai...well played.
