Another Dragon Down The Hole

Limerickly Speaking: A Tenth Grade Homage

There was a young man from Fort Lauderdale
Whose life truly began in a sale
Donated by a mother he never knew
Absorbed into a family from where he grew
Instability and self awareness guided the plight
Moving countries and mountains while immersed in the fight
A guest in the family and a holiday decision
A permanent vacation from mutual provision
Parents have passed and the others moved on
The old man from Fort Lauderdale is a family of one

...I'll Have A Heineken: Prologue

Corona with lime from a long ago time
Sunshine and darkness with friends
Corona this time, a census on the sublime
Only hope as the shine fades away

Call It Aftermath

Create a truth to match the lie
Shake the tree that bears no fruit
Discard the noise of industrial complexity
A perception of dimension in a linear dream

The Winter Makes You Laugh A Little Slower

Forged by the streets of disrepair
Tomorrow always in play
A sideshow trick or a ripple in time
What lies beyond the horizon

You Know You Love It

My Coffee Like My Women

The glass slides with microscopic life
Deconstruct the layers of vagrant acceptance
Origins of self found only in the patterns
Eyes raised and perspective renewed

Twenty Years Sober: Haiku

Waking up at night
The only promise is kept
Lasting a lifetime

K.Y.L.

The Sun also rises and memories remain
Our world continues to spin
Grasping to understand the complexities of love
For the truth exists in the tears

Kobayashi Maru

A chance to regain what was never there
The chance that fate has smiled tonight
Another chance at falling stars
If only a fleeting chance...

It All Sinks In

Fifth Street on a Saturday night
Or no night in particular
Fifth Street on a Saturday night
Promises made while dreams wash away
Fifth Street on a Saturday night
Does it really matter?

First Post Of 2019...I Suck!

There was a time when this blog helped me through uncertain times. I tended to it like it was the best hydroponic and looked forward to writing about Pro cycling, my personal cycling, stupid shit, and also use it as an outlet for my depressing, lyrical poetry. Life moves on and things change, but I will always come back here and do something. This is my 13th year exposing my consciousness to the Internet. Please go back and read some of the early stuff if you follow Pro cycling...it's pretty good. MP

In The Pipeline Filling In Time

A soul under water
An anonymous life
A prison in the mind
An eternal disguise
