Strategy And Tactics: Fun Or Really Fun ?

Even if you are a lifetime cyclist, if you've never raced on any level or participated in competitive group riding, then you're missing out on one of the best parts of the sport.

There is a certain satisfaction in using wit and guile to overcome any shortcomings in age or fitness. Knowing when to attack or when to stay in the draft and conserve energy...Bridging a gap as to not get dropped...Using the wind to your advantage...Controlling the speed of the peloton to your benefit. All of these things, plus many more, bring the mental aspect of cycling to the forefront.

As you know by now, Mongo is a pretty cerebral dude. Any advantage I can gain using my noggin allows more room in my tummy for ice cream and honey buns.
